Senior Engineer, Systems and Control Engineering (Industrial Automation)

What you will do

• Architect and develop PLC, HMI, SCADA, edge-computing, and connected control systems for industrial automation.
• Design automation platforms, electrical schematics, control panels, network architectures, and reusable software frameworks.
• Integrate sensors, instrumentation, analyzers, vision systems, robotics, and smart devices into production systems.
• Develop industrial data architectures supporting analytics, predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, and AI-enabled process optimization.
• Lead automation projects from requirements definition through factory and site acceptance testing, commissioning, and lifecycle support.
• Mentor engineers and technicians while collaborating with software, data, product, manufacturing, quality, and customer-facing teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of industrial automation, controls engineering, or process automation experience.
• Strong PLC programming experience with Rockwell and Siemens platforms, including Studio 5000 and TIA Portal.
• Experience with SCADA or historian platforms and industrial networks including EtherNet/IP, OPC UA, Modbus, and Profinet.
• Experience in regulated, quality-focused manufacturing environments and knowledge of industrial cybersecurity principles.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical, and applicable NFPA, IEC, ISA, and OSHA standards.

Nice to have

• Experience with Industry 4.0, Industrial IoT, digital twins, simulation, and virtual commissioning.
• Familiarity with machine learning, data analytics, AI-enabled industrial applications, MES, ERP, cloud, or enterprise data platforms.
• Experience with robotics, machine vision, advanced motion control, autonomous systems, or Safety Instrumented Systems.
• Semiconductor, advanced materials, filtration, purification, or specialty process industry experience.
• Professional Engineer license.
