PE - Automation for Data Center Eng team (Automation)

Location: One of five U.S. locations: King of Prussia, PA; Alpharetta, GA; Wesley Chapel, FL; Charlotte, NC; or Lewis Center, OH.

Salary: Project Engineer II — $115,000–$170,000 per year; Project Engineer III — $136,000–$201,000 per year.

What you will do

• Apply power system automation knowledge and SEL product expertise to complete complex engineering assignments.
• Lead customer training and assist with the design, configuration, validation, installation, commissioning, and operation of automation and protection systems.
• Assign, complete, and implement work within agreed scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety requirements.
• Support the preparation and presentation of proposals for SEL equipment, services, and systems.
• Mentor and develop professional staff and supervise as needed.
• Apply SEL values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant application experience with electric power systems, industry practices, and automation practices.
• Knowledge of power system protection and control, integration, automation, communications applications, system design, studies, information and communication technology, and protective relay applications.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally at least 25% of the time.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills, with the ability to learn new skills, assume new responsibilities, and work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Satisfactory background check and negative drug test results.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer license or equivalent certification.
• Experience in electrical utilities, industrial plants, consulting engineering, or system integration.
• Project management experience and working knowledge of Vision or other project management tracking software.
