Supplier Account Technologist (Semiconductor)

Location: Santa Clara, CA, United States; travel to supplier locations, customer sites, and industry events is required approximately 20% of the time.

Salary: $133,500–$183,500 per year.

What you will do

• Partner with engineering teams across business units to identify technical requirements, capability gaps, and manufacturing constraints.
• Evaluate supplier engineering, manufacturing, process, quality, and operational capabilities through technical assessments and site visits.
• Qualify new suppliers and support existing suppliers in developing technical capabilities and innovative solutions.
• Influence supplier technology roadmaps and recommend technology adoption, strategic partnerships, and supplier development initiatives.
• Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive developments, translating findings into recommendations for engineering and business leadership.
• Lead cross-functional technology development, qualification, and implementation projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, materials science, manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 4+ years of experience in engineering, supplier development, advanced technology development, manufacturing engineering, or a related technical role.
• Experience working with suppliers, contract manufacturers, or technology partners.
• Strong knowledge of product development, manufacturing processes, technical evaluations, supplier audits, or manufacturing assessments.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally to supplier locations, customer sites, and industry events.
• Experience in semiconductor, advanced packaging, electronics, materials, capital equipment, or high-tech manufacturing is preferred.

• Master's degree in engineering, materials science, or a related technical field.
• Knowledge of advanced manufacturing technologies, process development, and supplier qualification methodologies.
