Structural Engineering Professional

Location: Remote within the USA Northwest Region (Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, or Wyoming) or Canada. Reliable home internet is required.

What you will do

• Perform conventional structural engineering analysis, design, and calculation checking under general supervision.
• Apply building code provisions and lateral analysis principles for wind and seismic design.
• Manage assigned structural scopes, schedules, budgets, quality requirements, and workload commitments.
• Coordinate structural requirements with engineers, structural leads, drafters, and BIM designers.
• Check personal work and support calculation checking for peer deliverables.
• Track scope, forecast effort, and escalate potential scope changes.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with an explicit emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• Active Engineer in Training certification and at least 2 years of professional structural engineering experience.
• Knowledge of US building codes and standards, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC.
• Understanding of structural mechanics and conventional building materials.
• Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, organizational, and professional development skills.
• Must reside in the USA Northwest Region or Canada and provide reliable home internet for remote collaboration.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Experience with structural analysis software, Navisworks, or Bluebeam.
• Experience designing and analyzing traditional steel and concrete structures.
• Exposure to semiconductor manufacturing or industrial facility design.
