Senior Structural Engineering Professional

Location: Remote within the USA Northwest Region (Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, Wyoming) or Canada. A reliable home internet connection is required.

Salary: $141,400–$162,200 per year.

What you will do

• Perform structural engineering analysis, design, and calculation checking for complex projects.
• Apply lateral and seismic design principles for wind and seismic loading in accordance with current building codes.
• Own assigned structural scopes, schedules, budgets, quality requirements, and scope changes.
• Develop structural concepts, construction documents, and 3D models.
• Coordinate structural requirements with multidisciplinary engineering and design teams.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and drafting/design personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with an explicit emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent P.Eng license.
• 10+ years of professional experience in structural engineering design and analysis.
• Strong knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC standards.
• Experience designing and analyzing traditional steel and concrete structures.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software, Navisworks, and Bluebeam, along with strong communication and independent decision-making skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis or a dedicated Master’s in Structural Engineering.
• Active Structural Engineer (SE) license.
• Experience with semiconductor, heavy industrial, or complex industrial manufacturing facilities.
• Experience leading medium-sized engineering teams and managing client deliverables.
