Senior Software Engineer, Identity Security

Location: California - San Francisco, United States

Salary: $172,500–$260,100 annual base salary; in select San Francisco and New York metropolitan areas, $207,800–$285,800 annually.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain identity and access management services on AWS and Kubernetes.
• Develop controls governing how AI agents authenticate, request access, and operate within hirify.global systems.
• Build automation systems and APIs that reduce manual access-management work and organizational risk.
• Operate production services through monitoring, alerting, and SLO management.
• Collaborate with Identity, Security, and Infrastructure engineers on shared services and APIs.
• Participate in code and design reviews while taking increasing ownership of projects and systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including building and operating production backend systems.
• Proficiency in a high-level programming language such as Python or Go.
• Hands-on AWS experience deploying and operating cloud services.
• Working knowledge of distributed systems, APIs, service architecture, and data stores.
• Understanding of security fundamentals and secure software development practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience; strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Exposure to authentication, authorization, identity lifecycle management, or access governance.
• Experience deploying and managing workloads in Kubernetes.
