Project & Portfolio Oversight Leader (Clinical Trials)

Salary: $102,500–$285,500 annualized base pay

What you will do

• Provide operational oversight, support, and coordination for assigned clinical trial programs and projects.
• Lead matrixed, cross-functional teams while tracking deliverables, milestones, timelines, risks, and escalations.
• Communicate project and initiative status to leadership and stakeholders, recommending mitigation strategies for operational and technical challenges.
• Coordinate issue resolution and develop and execute risk mitigation and contingency plans.
• Support portfolio planning, resource forecasting, capacity management, process improvements, and strategic initiatives.
• Maintain meeting documentation, decisions, action items, risks, and project communications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• At least 2 years of operational experience supporting clinical trials in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, clinical research, or CRO environment.
• Strong project management, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience mentoring, coaching, or training colleagues.
• Knowledge of clinical development processes, global clinical operations, safety reporting, or strategic planning.
• Ability to identify, escalate, and resolve operational issues through effective risk mitigation planning.

Nice to have

• Experience leading or coordinating teams in R&D, Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, or related functions.
• Experience working in a matrixed global environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities across complex stakeholder groups.
