Systems Engineer (MBSE)

Location: Huntsville, Alabama, United States; travel up to 15% required.

What you will do

• Maintain requirements traceability from capability and performance specifications through functional and allocated baselines using MBSE tools.
• Conduct requirements analysis, allocation, verification, validation, and trade studies across the specification tree.
• Review technical documentation, verification plans, reports, and model-based deliverables for program milestones.
• Support Critical Design Reviews, technical risk assessments, test events, integration, verification, and validation activities.
• Coordinate requirements, configuration, contract-document changes, technical reviews, and program milestone documentation.
• Identify and mitigate cost, schedule, and technical risks while reporting systems engineering status to program leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Experience with requirements analysis, traceability, verification, validation, and MBSE tools such as MagicDraw, Cameo Enterprise Architecture, Teamwork Cloud, and DOORS.
• Experience with SysML v1, UPDM, Validation Suites, Velocity Template Language scripting, MBSE model releases, change management, release notes, and change logs.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and software engineering, including Army aircraft engines, engine subsystems, or LRUs and their qualification, integration, reliability, fielding, and sustainment.
• Experience with project management, Integrated Product Teams, Microsoft Office program management tools, Jira, and Confluence; familiarity with FAR, DoDI 5000.02, and ISO/IEC 15288.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Department of War security clearance.
