Cost Estimator (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Develop and deliver life cycle cost estimates for NASA programs and missions.
• Create, document, present, test, and validate cost estimates and estimating models.
• Use PCEC, NICM, SEER, PRICE TruePlanning, MOCET, LSOCM, ACEIT, Excel, and related tools.
• Perform cost and price analysis, work breakdown structure development, and risk analysis.
• Collaborate with NASA officials and prime contractor personnel.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance.
• At least eight years of government or aerospace industry experience in cost estimating, cost engineering, operations research, or systems engineering.
• At least eight years of relevant experience supporting programs, primarily NASA programs, including cost estimating experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in business management, economics, mathematics, engineering, or a related science.
• Strong verbal, written, quantitative, teamwork, and analytical skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of NASA cost estimating principles, acquisition policies, and project management processes.
• Strong working knowledge of ACEIT.
• Data science experience.
