Senior Quality Test Technician (HVACR)

Location: On-site in Kennesaw, Georgia, USA. Occasional off-hours support for offshore test teams and up to 10% domestic travel are required.

What you will do

• Test and assure the quality of facility controls, devices, and software applications in the Cold Chain portfolio.
• Maintain integration test environments, including installing and wiring devices, test labs, and controls products.
• Plan testing, forecast test cycles, develop and execute test cases, document results, and meet delivery timelines.
• Identify defects, document root-cause observations, and collaborate with engineering on resolution.
• Gather test data, maintain quality indicators, report metrics, and improve testing efficiency.
• Mentor and train onsite and offshore test teams while supporting engineering, product management, and technical services.

Requirements

• Associate degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of combined experience with controls, firmware, peripherals, embedded systems, and software testing.
• At least 1 year of experience as a senior or lead tester.
• Advanced electronics knowledge and understanding of electrical safety agency requirements.
• Experience with test planning, test case creation, execution, defect tracking, results documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Knowledge of waterfall and agile testing methodologies, basic CMMI, and familiarity with automation testing.

Nice to have

• Experience with controls systems, refrigeration, or HVAC.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and a programming language.
• Experience with testing tools, JIRA, GitHub, and automation.
