What you will do
- Review requirements, user stories, and design documentation to determine expected system behavior.
- Develop and execute manual test cases, scenarios, and test plans.
- Perform functional, system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
- Identify, document, track, and retest defects using issue-tracking tools.
- Collaborate with developers, QA teams, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
- Maintain testing documentation and support improvements to quality processes and standards.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in manual testing, quality assurance, or software testing.
- Understanding of software testing methodologies and the SDLC/STLC.
- Experience writing and executing test cases and test plans.
- Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar defect-tracking tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively in Agile/Scrum environments, with strong analytical and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting federal government contracts or working in regulated environments.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, APIs, and backend systems.
- Exposure to test automation concepts or tools.
- Experience with usability or accessibility testing.
