Senior Software Engineer II (AI)

Location: Onsite at the American Fork, Utah headquarters; candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.

What you will do

• Design, ship, and operate high-performance Go microservices and APIs for the Agentic AI platform.
• Build agent workflow infrastructure covering tool integration, state management, and event-driven site-data processing.
• Optimize service architecture, API latency, concurrency, and SQL database performance as the platform scales.
• Partner with Product Management, QA, and DevOps to define technical specifications, estimate work, and deliver releases.
• Improve unit and integration testing, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and developer tooling.
• Diagnose production defects, protect uptime and data integrity, review code, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience delivering production microservices and APIs.
• 2+ years of hands-on Go experience, including concurrency, idiomatic design, and performance tuning.
• Experience with LLM-powered or agent-based systems, tool calling, workflow orchestration, or AI-enabled APIs.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, OpenAPI, gRPC, and/or GraphQL, plus SQL and relational database schema optimization.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, cloud-native and event-driven architectures, testing, and Agile collaboration.
