Lead Network Security Engineer (Cisco ISE)

Location: Buffalo, New York, United States; four days onsite at Seneca One Buffalo and one day per week working from home.

Salary: $116,400–$194,000 annual USD.

What you will do

• Implement and support Cisco ISE-based Network Access Control solutions for enterprise authentication, authorization, and accounting.
• Configure and maintain 802.1X, RADIUS, TACACS+, device profiling, posture assessment, guest access, and BYOD policies.
• Manage Cisco ISE deployments, distributed nodes, high-availability configurations, certificates, upgrades, integrations, and lifecycle activities.
• Develop role-based access controls, dynamic authorization policies, network segmentation, and Zero Trust solutions across wired, wireless, VPN, and remote access environments.
• Automate provisioning, policy management, endpoint onboarding, compliance validation, and operational support activities.
• Analyze and troubleshoot complex access, authentication, authorization, certificate, posture, and network issues while mentoring engineers and partnering with cybersecurity, network, infrastructure, and identity teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of relevant work experience, or a combined minimum of 9 years of higher education and/or work experience in lieu of a degree.
• Advanced proficiency in cybersecurity and network infrastructure technologies.
• Experience with Cisco ISE, AAA services, NAC technologies, identity-based network security, and secure network access architecture.
• Ability to translate architecture into technical requirements and apply critical thinking to complex problems.
• Ability to work four days onsite in Buffalo, NY with one day per week from home.
• Ability to partner with cybersecurity, network engineering, enterprise infrastructure, identity management, and technology teams.
