Senior Software Engineer, AI Platform Integration

Location: 100% remote within the US, with a hybrid option for candidates in the El Dorado Hills, CA or Chicago, IL metro areas.

What you will do

• Design and build full-stack capabilities supporting AI initiatives across Keeper’s product portfolio.
• Develop backend services, APIs, integration layers, shared services, and frontend experiences for AI-powered functionality.
• Integrate LLM-powered services, agents, tool-calling workflows, and related AI capabilities into secure production environments.
• Partner with AI, Product, and Engineering teams to translate platform and model requirements into production software.
• Troubleshoot cross-product issues involving APIs, authentication, authorization, services, interfaces, and data flows.
• Improve performance, latency, reliability, observability, testing, CI/CD readiness, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience and strong full-stack development skills.
• Production backend, API, distributed application, integration, architecture, and secure software development experience.
• Frontend experience with JavaScript or TypeScript and frameworks such as React.
• Strong experience with at least one backend language such as Rust, Java, Kotlin, C#, Go, or Python; Rust is strongly preferred.
• Experience with multiple codebases, Git workflows, automated testing, CI/CD, debugging, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating LLM-powered or AI-driven capabilities into production software.
• Familiarity with AI APIs, agentic workflows, tool calling, prompt engineering, context management, or MCP.
• Experience with Python-based AI services, shared platform services, SaaS platforms, microservices, event-driven architecture, or distributed systems.
• Experience in cybersecurity, identity, privileged access management, cloud infrastructure, or AWS.
