Clinical Laboratory Scientist, Oncology (AM Shift) (Molecular Diagnostics)

Location: Onsite in Menlo Park, California, United States. Sunday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM.

Hourly rate: $59.14–$67.29 per hour. Total compensation package of up to $156,194 per year, including salary, equity options, and bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Perform clinical laboratory assays on cancer blood samples to support disease diagnosis, treatment, and prevention.
• Execute quality control studies and verify the accuracy of clinical data.
• Check, calibrate, and document the performance of laboratory instruments.
• Contribute to R&D-to-CLIA technology transfer, troubleshooting, training, and validation activities.
• Process samples end to end within a high-complexity clinical laboratory environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences.
• 1–2 years of clinical laboratory scientist experience.
• Current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License meeting CLIA Testing Personnel requirements is required; ASCP, CGMBS, or generalist licensure is accepted.
• Hands-on experience with manual molecular biology protocols, including DNA extraction and PCR.
• Advanced knowledge of Google Docs, Word, Excel, basic statistics, and familiarity with LIMS.
• Strong attention to detail, flexibility under deadlines, and effective verbal and written communication.
