Sr. Bioinformatics Scientist - Collaborations (Cancer Genomics)

Location: Fremont, California, United States; hybrid schedule with onsite work on Mondays and Tuesdays

Salary: $158,000–$190,000 per year, plus performance-based bonus, equity, and benefits

What you will do

• Plan, develop, and manage scientific collaborations using liquid biopsy and solid-tumor products.
• Apply cell-free platforms, including the NeXT Personal MRD liquid biopsy platform, to cancer patient cohorts.
• Detect somatic variants, neoantigens, and tumor escape mechanisms in collaborative research projects.
• Design and execute experiments assessing the performance and clinical advantages of cell-free platforms.
• Model and analyze large, complex genomics datasets to generate biological and clinical insights.
• Translate scientific findings into products and publish or present results at conferences.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in bioinformatics, genomics, or a related field.
• Experience managing, analyzing, and interpreting large multi-participant projects.
• Experience with cancer liquid biopsy analysis, cancer genomics, and variant detection.
• Experience with survival analysis.
• Proficiency in at least one common programming language, such as Python or R.
• Experience publishing and presenting scientific results.
