Manager, Software Engineering, Core Infrastructure

Location: Bellevue, United States; office attendance is expected 4+ days per week under hirify.global's “default together” policy.

Base salary: $195,000–$343,000 annually, depending on US pay zone, plus RSU eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead and mentor backend and full-stack engineers building Core Infrastructure for hirify.global's backend systems.
• Set team strategy, develop the roadmap, define measurable goals, and drive delivery.
• Guide the technical strategy and participate in architecture and design discussions.
• Evaluate tradeoffs for major technical decisions and lead complex initiatives.
• Collaborate with Product, Operations, Data Science, Engineering, and executive stakeholders.
• Hire, develop, and retain high-performing engineering team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of post-Bachelor's software development experience, or equivalent advanced-degree experience.
• 1+ years of experience managing a team of engineers.
• Experience building high-availability and mission-critical systems.
• Experience with distributed systems and cloud infrastructure technologies.
• Experience leading and executing large, complex technical initiatives.

Nice to have

• Experience driving large-scale initiatives from ideation through completion.
• Experience with operations-heavy backend systems and services.
• Experience with microservices architecture and Kubernetes-containerized applications.
• Experience delivering in rapidly changing, highly collaborative, multi-stakeholder environments.
