Early Careers - Audit Specialist Intern

Location: Richardson, Texas, United States; hybrid schedule with a minimum of three office days per week.

Base pay: $19.13–$34.17 per hour.

What you will do

• Assist with claim accuracy audits and performance tracking for Administrative Services Only clients.
• Report and analyze monthly potential error findings with internal claims and customer service partners.
• Maintain knowledge of contracts, coding schemes, claims systems, coordination of benefits, pricing, provider files, and managed care principles.
• Research data, develop recommendations, and own project deliverables with mentor and manager guidance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support initiatives that improve business and member outcomes.
• Present the internship project, results, and recommendations to department leadership.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, audit, or a related field; rising seniors are preferred.
• Expected graduation between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Availability for the full ten-week paid internship.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Strong communication, teamwork, independent project execution, and PC skills, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and virtual collaboration tools.

Nice to have

• Medical claims auditing experience.
• Experience with BlueChip claims processing.
• Knowledge of quality review processes and problem-claim analysis.
