Business Insurance Intern: Underwriting Professional Development Program (UPDP)

Salary: $25.00–$26.00 per hour

What you will do

• Complete core assignments and training modules covering insurance and underwriting principles.
• Complete professional development courses in time management, presentation skills, and related areas.
• Work on meaningful projects such as territorial risk assessments and business process analyses.
• Present project findings to local leadership, independently or with other interns.
• Use analytical and artificial intelligence tools while evaluating the quality and accuracy of AI-assisted outputs.
• Learn about Risk Control, Claims, corporate functions, and commercial insurance through agency visits and enterprise internship events.

Requirements

• Must be pursuing or have obtained a Bachelor's degree.
• Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Preferred fields include Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Liberal Arts, Management, Marketing, and Risk Management and Insurance.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States now and in the future.
• Housing assistance is not provided.
