Configuration Manager (DoD)

Location: Hanscom AFB in Bedford, Massachusetts, United States; onsite

Salary: $85,000–$100,000 per year, depending on experience, certifications, and qualifications

What you will do

• Oversee configuration identification, change control, and status accounting for program artifacts.
• Implement and maintain configuration management plans, design baselines, libraries, and repositories.
• Support Configuration Control Boards, document approved changes, and track change requests.
• Coordinate physical and functional configuration audits, engineering assessments, design reviews, and technical interchange meetings.
• Manage data deliverables, discrepancies, problem reports, software licensing, packaging, and releases.
• Collaborate with program management, systems engineers, quality managers, and integrated product teams.

Requirements

• Must be a United States citizen.
• Must have and be able to maintain an active Secret security clearance at the time of hiring.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or seven years of experience in the relevant technical or professional discipline, including five years in the Department of Defense.
• Experience with configuration management in a Department of Defense environment, including hardware and software configuration audits.
• Knowledge of configuration change control, Configuration Control Boards, baselines, repositories, release management, and version control.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, documentation, analytical, and prioritization skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Access and SharePoint administration or support.
• Experience preparing release notes, configuration management reports, management briefings, and audit documentation.
• Understanding of all phases of the software development life cycle.
