Sr. Category Manager in Battery Storage, Global Supply Chain

Location: US Remote-USA; Heathrow, Florida with hybrid or remote work options. Domestic and international travel may be required.

What you will do

• Develop and execute category strategies for battery storage components to improve cost competitiveness and supply security.
• Lead RFP sourcing, evaluate supplier proposals, and support project bids and delivery timelines.
• Negotiate project-specific terms and develop equipment and service agreements with Commercial Operations, Engineering, and Legal.
• Assess geopolitical, economic, and environmental supply-chain risks and define mitigation strategies.
• Analyze market trends, raw-material costs, technology roadmaps, total cost of ownership, and supplier pricing.
• Lead supplier business reviews, monitor quality and performance, and manage KPIs including on-time delivery, lead time, savings, and risk.

Requirements

• Proven experience developing and executing category strategies that deliver measurable cost, quality, and risk improvements.
• Strong understanding of LV/MV power distribution components, including switchgear, inverters, transformers, and motor drives.
• Strong negotiation, contracting, communication, and project-management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in category or supplier management, including 3+ years in the renewable-energy industry; BESS experience is preferred.
• Proficiency with ERP and e-procurement systems such as SAP, Oracle, Coupa, or Ariba.

Nice to have

• Experience with battery energy storage systems and renewable-energy procurement.
• Experience working with Engineering and Product teams through product-development cycles and technical requirements.
