Applications Engineering Intern (Power Electronics)

Location: San Jose, CA; Kirkland, WA; or Detroit, MI. Office or lab work is required 3 days per week.

Hourly pay: $42–$55/hr in California or $40–$52/hr in Washington, depending on market location, experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors.

What you will do

• Provide application support for customers and Field Application Engineers.
• Support the development, simulation, and bench evaluation of analog IC and module products for DC-DC power conversion.
• Work with Applications Engineers and Design Engineers on new product evaluation and debugging.
• Create reference designs, application notes, design notes, and technical articles.
• Present project summaries and results to senior leadership.

Requirements

• Strong written and verbal English communication skills are required.
• Hands-on experience implementing and testing power electronics hardware.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Third-year BSEE or fourth-year MSEE student status.
• Availability for a full-time internship, ideally for at least 12 weeks.
