TL;DR
CMPPS Developer III (Microsoft Power Platform): Building and governing enterprise Power Platform, SharePoint Online, and Copilot solutions for federal business processes with an accent on custom applications, workflow automation, data governance, and secure integrations. Focus on designing the full solution lifecycle, developing Copilot extensions, managing ALM across DEV–QA–PROD, and mentoring developers while supporting complex migrations.

Location: Hybrid in Arlington, Virginia; US citizenship required for the federal client.

Salary: $126,000–$165,000 per year

What you will do

  • Lead requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and retirement of Power Platform, SharePoint Online, and Copilot solutions.
  • Build business applications, workflows, automations, dashboards, and integrations using Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, SharePoint Framework, Power BI, and Copilot.
  • Develop Copilot extensions and prompts that improve productivity and user experience.
  • Create test plans, document test results, and provide knowledge transfer to testers and users.
  • Document solution architecture, dependencies, deployment procedures, and user guidance.
  • Participate in code reviews, support continuous operations, mentor junior developers, and coordinate delegated work.

Requirements

  • US citizenship is required.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on Microsoft Purview experience across data governance, data security, and data compliance.
  • 5+ years of experience with Power Platform and SharePoint Online development, including Canvas and model-driven apps, Dataverse, Power Automate, SPFx, JSON, and workflows.
  • 2+ years of Microsoft Copilot development experience, including Copilot Studio, prompt engineering, and integrations with Power Platform and Microsoft 365.
  • Experience with solution-based development, ALM, DEV–QA–PROD promotion, custom connectors, Azure/Entra ID, Power BI, and Microsoft 365 technologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field; PL-900 certification is required.

Nice to have

  • PL-100, PL-200, or Copilot-related certifications.
  • Experience with Power Platform administration, SharePoint administration, Azure/Entra ID administration, Dynamics 365 administration, or Exchange administration.
  • Experience with enterprise document management, network share analysis, or on-premises-to-cloud migration.
