Business Analyst (DoD Financial Management)

Location: On-site in Huntsville, Alabama, at a government customer site. Some travel may be required. U.S. citizenship is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $80,000–$120,000 per year

Provides custom software products, government financial management services, information systems, and programmatic support to government agencies.

What you will do

• Act as a financial and technical consultant for a DoD program management and financial management system.
• Provide expertise in government finance, acquisition, budgeting, and accounting processes.
• Help customers structure financial data correctly and reconcile data across multiple systems.
• Review forecasts and accounting data on a daily basis.
• Provide on-site support and training to a government customer.
• Support the operations of a government financial office, including occasional travel and extended hours when required.

Requirements

• At least five years of government acquisition, finance, financial management, program management, or related experience within a DoD organization.
• Bachelor’s degree in business management, engineering, computer science, mathematics, economics, or a related discipline; seven or more years of equivalent technical training or work/military experience may substitute.
• Experience with government financial and accounting systems, acquisition and budgeting processes, and relational databases.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Must pass a federal background investigation and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or materials.
• Ability to work at a computer for extended periods, communicate accurately, and lift or carry at least 15 pounds.

• Comprehensive Cost and Requirement System (CCaR) experience or certification.
