Senior Software Engineer (Cloud)

What you will do

• Own the architecture, development, deployment, and operation of scalable, secure, fault-tolerant cloud services.
• Drive distributed-systems design and architectural decisions across the cloud platform.
• Build and scale infrastructure with Kubernetes, Terraform, and Helm.
• Embed cloud security, IAM controls, encryption, compliance, monitoring, alerting, and incident response into platform operations.
• Improve DevOps maturity through CI/CD and deployment optimization while leading complex initiatives from design through production optimization.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and security teams and mentor engineers through technical guidance and code reviews.

Requirements

• 6–8+ years of software engineering experience focused on cloud infrastructure and distributed systems.
• Strong proficiency in Go, Python, or similar programming languages and experience building distributed services.
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, and AWS services including EKS, EC2, RDS, S3, SQS, and IAM.
• Experience independently designing, building, and operating production-grade systems at scale, including on-call and incident response.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee or asylee.

Nice to have

• Cloud security, identity, encryption, and compliance experience.
• Experience with highly available distributed systems, automated failover, self-healing, event-driven architectures, and microservices.
• Knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and HashiCorp tools such as Vault, Consul, and Packer.
• Experience defining engineering standards, patterns, or platform strategy.
