Senior Network Engineer (Cisco)

Location: Plano, Texas; onsite five days per week. Approximately 20–25% travel, primarily to Mexico, with occasional travel to Canada and other locations. Must be authorized to work in the United States without H-1B sponsorship.

hirify.global is partnering with an industry-leading manufacturing organization to support network infrastructure at a manufacturing site.

What you will do

• Own the site's network environment, including daily operations, troubleshooting, upgrades, deployments, and maintenance.
• Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco LAN, WAN, routing, switching, and wireless infrastructure.
• Support Cisco ACI, ISE, Catalyst Center, SDA, network segmentation, access control, and high-availability environments.
• Provide hands-on support for incidents and complex technical issues, including escalation and root-cause analysis.
• Coordinate with plant engineering, operations, maintenance, local IT, vendors, and centralized network teams.
• Develop network standards and documentation, lead technical projects, and mentor local IT and support personnel.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive network engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco enterprise networking, including LAN, routing, switching, and wireless.
• Experience with Cisco ACI, ISE, and/or Catalyst Center; Cisco SDA experience is beneficial.
• Experience with network design, implementation, upgrades, migrations, or senior-level technical projects.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work onsite five days per week in a manufacturing or plant environment and travel approximately 20–25%.

Nice to have

• Experience with OT, industrial, or manufacturing network environments.
• Experience supporting plant engineering, production, maintenance, automation, or plant-floor systems.
• Knowledge of OT networking, segmentation, IDMZ, and industrial network security.
• CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent technical experience.
• Experience with large-scale manufacturing deployments or geographically distributed environments.
