Manufacturing Business Consultant – Batch & Process Manufacturing

Location: Remote (US); travel to customer sites throughout the U.S. and Canada is required, averaging 25% and potentially increasing to 50% during key project phases.

What you will do

• Assess production, planning, quality, supply chain, and operational practices and recommend improvements.
• Advise customers on production scheduling, capacity utilization, changeover reduction, yield management, and waste reduction.
• Lead customer discovery, requirements gathering, gap analysis, systems design, configuration, testing, and data migration activities.
• Configure Deacom solutions for formula and recipe management, including scaling, yield and potency calculations, co-products, by-products, and unit conversions.
• Design lot traceability, genealogy, recall-readiness, quality, compliance, reporting, and KPI processes.
• Act as a trusted advisor to plant managers, operations leaders, quality teams, and executive stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of hands-on experience in or direct consulting for batch or process manufacturing environments.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, supply chain, operations management, engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of formulation or recipe management, production scheduling, lot traceability, and manufacturing operations.
• ERP product knowledge and implementation or consulting experience; 3+ years of ERP experience is preferred.
• Ability to explain complex operational and technical concepts to plant-floor, operational, quality, and executive audiences.
• Valid driver’s license and/or passport for required travel within the U.S. and Canada; availability to travel internationally up to 50%.

Nice to have

• Experience as a manufacturing or operations consultant, plant manager, or continuous improvement lead.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, HACCP, FDA, SQF, or other quality and regulatory systems.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server queries, views, and stored procedures.
• APICS/CPIM certification or experience with MS Visio process mapping.
