Junior Cybersecurity Engineer

Location: Remote from Georgia, Belarus, Moldova, Serbia, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Montenegro, Uzbekistan, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Portugal, Romania, or Azerbaijan. Working hours follow EET/EEST business hours.

Compensation is competitive and paid in EUR.

What you will do

• Process security requests and notifications, including access management, security tool alerts, and vulnerability assessments.
• Identify and help mitigate infrastructure security issues, misconfigurations, and vulnerabilities.
• Develop, implement, and update security measures for corporate infrastructure.
• Support identity and access management and maintain a knowledge base for security products and services.
• Assist with incident response and collaborate with Operations and Infrastructure teams on asset security.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in server administration, network engineering, site reliability engineering, infrastructure security, cloud security, or systems engineering.
• Knowledge of Linux, Windows, and macOS, including common operating-system hardening practices.
• Technical knowledge of network protection and network device hardening.
• Automation skills with Bash and Python, plus an understanding of how computer attacks occur.
• Russian at C1 level and English at B1 level.
• Analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively and learn independently.

Nice to have

• Cybersecurity experience and vulnerability analysis experience.
• Experience using AI tools for technical or cybersecurity tasks.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, including Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.
• Understanding of attacker tactics and techniques and defensive approaches.
