Senior Product Manager (Advanced Materials)

Location: San Francisco Bay Area, California (preferred) or St. Paul, Minnesota; onsite at least four days per week at hirify.global Center in Maplewood, Minnesota. Travel may include up to 35% domestic and international travel. Relocation may be authorized.

Expected compensation: $221,591–$270,834, including base pay plus variable incentive pay if eligible.

What you will do

• Own the advanced materials expanded beam optics product lifecycle and translate product strategy into actionable plans.
• Lead product strategy, roadmap delivery, feature prioritization, and business-case development for next-generation expanded beam optics platforms.
• Translate customer needs into product requirements, specifications, architecture choices, and development priorities.
• Guide qualification, product launches, sales enablement, and customer qualification planning.
• Develop forecasts, pricing strategies, and portfolio recommendations using financial analysis, market insight, and scenario planning.
• Coordinate R&D, supply chain, manufacturing, commercial teams, customers, and ecosystem partners to accelerate market adoption.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, a related technical field, or marketing.
• At least five years of product management, product development, or technical marketing experience in optical interconnects, photonics, semiconductors, or related data center hardware.
• At least five years of experience managing products through NPI or Stage-Gate processes from concept through volume production.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.
• Must work onsite at least four days per week at the Maplewood, Minnesota location.
• The position requires driving a company vehicle and passing pre-employment and ongoing motor vehicle history reviews.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or higher in optics, photonics, materials science, electrical engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience with co-packaged optics, expanded beam optics, fiber-to-chip connectors, ceramic materials, precision manufacturing, or advanced packaging.
• Experience with semiconductor, switch OEM, hyperscale data center, optical engine, or connector ecosystem customers.
• Experience managing qualification cycles with Tier 1 semiconductor or hyperscale customers.
• Experience with business cases, forecasts, pricing strategies, P&L recommendations, or cross-functional leadership.
