Postdoctoral Research Associate (Insect Ecology)

What you will do

• Co-lead research on an early warning system for fall armyworm infestations in forage crops and turfgrasses.
• Co-lead research on Hessian fly management in wheat.
• Conduct laboratory, greenhouse, and field experiments.
• Analyze data and prepare research reports and manuscripts.
• Develop and submit research proposals to funding agencies.
• Participate in additional research projects and mentor students.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Entomology or a related discipline.
• Experience with insect ecology, monitoring, pest management, and field research is preferred.
• Ability to work across laboratory, greenhouse, and field research environments.
• Employment may require nonimmigrant visa sponsorship; the employer will not pay the potential $100,000 H-1B fee, and Texas filing restrictions may affect sponsorship eligibility.
• Completion of a criminal history investigation and credential verification is required.
