Senior Civil Designer - Site Design

Location: Lincoln, Nebraska or Omaha, Nebraska, United States. Work may be required on project sites in various construction stages and in all types of terrain and weather conditions.

What you will do

• Perform intermediate- to advanced-level civil design with minimal direction and supervision.
• Select and recommend design approaches and prepare preliminary designs for engineering staff.
• Complete advanced drafting and design work, including calculations, drawing updates, material needs, and specification reviews.
• Coordinate with technical staff and help identify effective solutions for engineering and design needs.
• Train or mentor less experienced technicians and attend client meetings when needed.
• Support site development projects across mixed-use, commercial, residential, industrial, sports, school, and other settings.

Requirements

• At least six years of experience using CAD software, specifically AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
• Ability to work independently on non-routine drafting and design assignments.
• Associate degree in drafting or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to work in varied terrain, weather conditions, and active construction sites.
