Technical Designer (CAD/GIS)

Location: Orlando, FL, USA; non-remote. U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one are required. A relocation incentive is available.

Salary: $75,000–$85,000 annually.

What you will do

• Create and update CAD-based as-built drawings using engineering documentation, GIS site maps, and GPS data.
• Document network infrastructure, telecommunications assets, facilities, pathways, entrances, and related site infrastructure.
• Validate site drawings, prepare red-line changes, and conduct field verification and site visits.
• Produce technical drawings, plans, reports, and engineering deliverables based on project requirements.
• Maintain drawing repositories, documentation libraries, design records, and configuration-controlled engineering documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, technical teams, and government stakeholders while performing quality reviews.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance required or ability to obtain and maintain one.
• At least four years of experience in CAD drafting, engineering documentation, telecommunications design support, or a related discipline.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Visio, MicroStation, or comparable CAD drafting and technical design software.
• Experience creating, updating, reviewing, and maintaining technical drawings and as-built documentation.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, drafting standards, technical specifications, Microsoft Office, communication, organization, and time management.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in drafting technology, engineering, GIS, architecture, information technology, or a related field.
• Experience in a Department of Defense environment or with network infrastructure, telecommunications, engineering, or facilities projects.
• Experience with GIS applications, GPS data collection tools, and geospatial mapping systems.
• Microsoft certifications related to Windows, Microsoft 365 Endpoint Administration, or related technologies.
