Field Technology Specialist (Telecommunications)

Location: Buffalo, NY, USA and surrounding area; approximately 85% travel required

Salary: $25.00–$38.00 per hour

What you will do

• Maintain computer and camera surveillance systems across a specified geographic region.
• Manage computers, data networks, digital video cameras, recorders, power supplies, and fiber-optic equipment.
• Install, update, repair, and maintain hardware and software systems.
• Track assets and maintain detailed maintenance records.
• Use diagnostic tools and electrical theory to troubleshoot, calibrate, and adjust electronic equipment to required specifications.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with computers, data networks, digital video systems, fiber optics, electronics, and telecommunications systems.
• Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, hardware, software applications, machines, and tools.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain government-issued security clearances.
• Readiness to travel approximately 85% of the time in the Buffalo, NY and surrounding area.

Nice to have

• Associate's degree in Information Technology or a related field from an accredited institution.
