Remote Full Stack Developer (Mid-Level) (Node.js)

Location: Remote; U.S. citizenship and an active U.S. Government Secret clearance are required.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain secure full-stack web applications.
• Build RESTful APIs, microservices, and integrations with enterprise systems to support data operations.
• Develop responsive front-end interfaces with accessibility-compliant user experiences.
• Design and optimize relational and NoSQL data models, queries, and data access layers.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, containerization, cloud deployments, security remediation, and automated testing.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, DevSecOps and Platform Engineers, QA teams, and technical stakeholders while reviewing code, mentoring junior developers, and maintaining technical documentation.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional full-stack software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field; equivalent relevant experience may substitute year-for-year.
• Proficiency with Node.js and experience with a modern front-end framework such as React, Angular, or Vue.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, relational databases, SQL, Git, automated testing, CI/CD, and Agile development.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and the OWASP Top 10, with strong technical communication and collaboration skills.
• U.S. citizenship and an active U.S. Government Secret clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, or GovCloud.
• Experience with MongoDB, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
• Experience supporting DoD or other federal programs and designing cloud-based microservices architectures.
• AWS or Azure Developer certification and experience mentoring junior developers.
