TL;DR
Java/Fullstack Engineer (Fintech): Building scalable, secure, and compliant digital lending systems for mortgage origination, servicing, portfolio management, and financial data workflows with an accent on Java, microservices, REST APIs, and modern frontend development. Focus on integrating loan-processing services, optimizing high-volume transaction systems, supporting cloud-native delivery, and maintaining reliability in a regulated environment.
Location: Remote within the United States; role associated with Arlington, Virginia

Work on mortgage and fintech platforms that support digital lending, loan servicing, portfolio management, and financial data workflows.
What you will do
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain full-stack applications for mortgage and lending workflows.
- Build RESTful APIs and microservices supporting loan processing, underwriting, pricing, and document management.
- Develop responsive interfaces for borrowers and internal users.
- Write unit, integration, and component tests while improving reliability and test coverage.
- Optimize high-volume transaction processing and troubleshoot production issues.
- Contribute to architecture discussions, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3–7+ years of full-stack software development experience.
- Strong Java experience with Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, or similar frameworks.
- Experience with API-driven microservices using REST or SOAP, frontend development with React, Angular, or Vue.js, and ORM frameworks such as Hibernate/JPA.
- Experience with relational or NoSQL databases, Git, secure application development, and data protection practices.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle and experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
Nice to have
- Experience with mortgage, lending, fintech, digital mortgage, or embedded finance platforms.
- Knowledge of mortgage lifecycles, MISMO standards, credit agency integrations, or AUS systems.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP; Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
- Exposure to blockchain-based loan or asset management platforms.
- Experience with AI-driven underwriting, document processing, automation, analytics, pricing, or risk modeling.
