What you will do

• Pitch, report, and write original articles covering financial markets, finance, earnings, and related topics.
• Produce fast and accurate breaking news copy and live blog posts in a high-pressure newsroom.
• Collect and analyze financial markets data for news stories, features, blogs, and other digital content.
• Monitor market movements, guests, and analyst notes while developing contacts for sourced reporting.
• Package stories with graphics, video, charts, links, and SEO-focused presentation.
• Collaborate with television colleagues and CNBC bureaus and promote content through social media.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of financial markets, especially stock markets, with an interest in investing and trading.
• Previous writing or reporting experience and the ability to work accurately under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Ability to understand and process complex numerical information.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, communication, and coordination skills.
• Fluent English is essential.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; flexibility to work different shifts when required.

• Experience at a leading online news site or financial publication.
