Subcontracts Engineer (Power T&D)

What you will do

• Execute subcontract activities in line with project requirements, execution plans, schedules, budgets, and contracting strategies.
• Evaluate, audit, select, and manage suppliers using approved supplier registers and project or client requirements.
• Conduct subcontractor performance reviews and manage corrective actions.
• Ensure statutory, legal, corporate, and project-specific procedures are followed and fully auditable.
• Coordinate weekly subcontract requirement meetings, maintain subcontract trackers, and attend required project site visits and in-person meetings.
• Promote safe working practices and provide safety leadership while monitoring commercial positions imposed by head contracts.

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Quantity Surveying, Law, or a related discipline.
• Experience in contracting or subcontracting, preferably in power, construction, oil and gas, pharmaceutical, or chemical industries.
• Effective communication with contractors, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Local knowledge of the area and suppliers, with the ability to work independently.
• Experience producing bid evaluations, conducting negotiations, and managing terms and conditions and head contract flow-down terms.
• CIPS qualification or progress toward CIPS accreditation is preferred.

• Knowledge and experience with NEC Construction Contract terms and conditions.
