HR Operations Specialist (AI)

What you will do

• Own HRIS configuration, data integrity, workflow design, and integrations with payroll, benefits, and finance systems.
• Identify repetitive and error-prone People Ops activities and automate them through workflows, integrations, and AI.
• Manage the employee lifecycle, including joiners, movers, leavers, contracts, and employee data flows.
• Prepare, validate, and submit monthly payroll inputs across the UK, Malta, and Gibraltar with Finance and external providers.
• Build self-service reporting for headcount, attrition, and payroll costs, using data to identify process failures.
• Maintain auditable compliance workflows for contracts, policies, right to work, data protection, and records retention.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience configuring, integrating, and troubleshooting HRIS platforms.
• Daily practical use of AI, with experience building and maintaining working automations.
• Experience running payroll end to end, preferably across multiple entities or jurisdictions.
• Strong accuracy, data integrity, ownership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to operate in a hands-on systems and operations role rather than a generalist or business partnering position.
• Ability to work in a hybrid role based in the UK.

Nice to have

• Payroll experience in the UK, Malta, or Gibraltar.
• Experience with multi-entity and multi-jurisdiction payroll.
