Market Data Support Engineer

Location: New York City, hybrid with at least 3 days onsite per week. Weekend on-call coverage and rotating weekday shifts are required.

Salary: USD 140,000–185,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage widely deployed Order Management Systems and Market Data Delivery Systems across electronic exchanges and asset classes.
• Partner with trading desks, risk management, business management, compliance, and engineering teams to define requirements and implement production solutions.
• Provide level one and level two support for mission-critical production systems and troubleshoot incidents.
• Design and implement support capabilities that improve system reliability and self-correction.
• Monitor and report system health while serving as the primary technical contact for brokers and exchanges.
• Provide periodic after-hours coverage, including Saturday and Sunday on-call support.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in the finance industry.
• Proficiency in Python scripting and/or Perl, Bash, or Shell.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux, including the kernel, scheduling, and performance tuning.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, routing, VLAN, and multicast.
• Knowledge of SQL, MongoDB, and database usage.
• Must be able to work in the United States and attend the New York City office at least 3 days per week; hirify.global does not sponsor U.S. work permits or employment visas.
