Senior Software Engineer (Libra - Legal AI Assistant) (m/f/d)

Location: Hybrid in Berlin, Germany; at least eight days per month in the office. Remote work is available up to three days per week, with work from anywhere within the EU permitted for up to 20 days within a twelve-month period.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain product features across backend APIs and frontend interfaces.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver intuitive, high-performing user experiences.
• Build secure, scalable software using sound architecture and engineering practices.
• Contribute to technical decisions and help shape the engineering culture.
• Explore and integrate AI tools and agents to improve developer productivity and product capabilities.

Requirements

• At least five years of relevant product software engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar discipline is preferred.
• Strong Python experience, particularly with FastAPI and asynchronous programming.
• Solid TypeScript proficiency and familiarity with software engineering best practices and security principles.
• Experience with AI coding agents such as Cursor or Claude Code.
• Excellent English communication skills; German is a plus.

Nice to have

• Experience with Svelte.
• Experience building or contributing to LLM-powered products.
