Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack, Vue)

sennder is a digital freight forwarder building a unified, AI-native platform for road freight logistics.

What you will do

• Design and build core services and products for the freight platform and transport management system.
• Develop robust microservice architectures with service mesh capabilities, stable interfaces, observability, metrics, and clear API contracts.
• Lead architectural design, technical decisions, and mid-sized engineering projects from planning through operation.
• Own the full service lifecycle, including infrastructure, with support from the Platform team.
• Collaborate with product managers, other pods, and stakeholders to deliver shippable features.
• Use AI-enabled engineering tools to improve workflows, automation, code quality, and productivity.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience building and operating reliable, scalable web applications in production.
• Strong hands-on Python and backend engineering experience, including microservices, event-driven architecture, and REST APIs.
• Hands-on Kafka experience is required, along with PostgreSQL experience.
• Frontend development experience with hands-on Vue.js knowledge.
• Practical experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and modern CI/CD practices.
• Strong English communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and ownership skills.

• Familiarity with GitLab.
