Fullstack Engineer II, Dmarts – Quick Commerce

Location: Berlin, Germany; hybrid working with attendance at the Berlin campus 2 days a week

What you will do

• Develop backend services with Golang and Python and frontend applications with React.
• Design APIs, event-driven workflows, and Kafka-based integrations with internal platforms, external Warehouse Management Systems, and logistics platforms.
• Build and evolve systems for Purchase Orders, Store Transfers, Cross Dock operations, Returns, Distribution Centers, inventory visibility, and WMS integrations.
• Partner with Product Managers, engineers, and operational stakeholders to translate business problems into scalable technical solutions.
• Own the full software lifecycle, including design, implementation, automated testing, deployment, observability, and production operations.
• Investigate production issues and improve reliability, performance, resilience, and observability.

Requirements

• Professional experience building and operating production software and independently owning features from problem understanding through delivery.
• Strong experience with at least one backend language; Golang or Python is particularly relevant.
• Experience building modern web applications with React or comparable technologies and integrating them with backend APIs.
• Knowledge of software design principles, REST APIs, relational databases, automated testing, and technical trade-offs.
• Experience with distributed or event-driven systems and production infrastructure such as Kafka, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and observability.
• Collaborative, proactive engineering mindset with an ability to work across the stack and use AI-assisted tooling responsibly.
