Salary: $50,000.00–$62,853.73 per year

What you will do

• Provide direct patient care by recording vital signs, pain screens, height, weight, and other clinical observations in the electronic medical record.
• Collect, label, and process patient specimens and instruct patients and families on specimen collection.
• Perform phlebotomy and EKGs when applicable and assist nursing and medical staff with clinical procedures.
• Transport patients, specimens, records, equipment, and supplies according to institute policies.
• Support clinic operations by maintaining supplies, preparing medical records, cleaning equipment, and monitoring the care environment.
• Communicate patient concerns, wait times, status changes, and abnormal findings to patients, families, providers, and clinical colleagues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; college coursework is preferred.
• Two years of equivalent experience in a medical setting required.
• Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, technical, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a busy clinical environment with patients of all ages and complex needs.
• Basic Life Support certification required within 60 days of hire.
• Ability to follow HIPAA, patient identification, privacy, safety, and institute procedures.

Nice to have

• College coursework or enrollment in an accredited Bachelor’s nursing program with at least two completed clinical rotations.
• Phlebotomy certification, depending on the assigned location.
