Maintenance Mechanic

Location: hirify.global Lexington plant, Lexington, Kentucky, United States. Onsite position; travel is 0%, and relocation assistance is not authorized.

Starting pay: $28.48 per hour, with potential to reach $30.66 per hour.

What you will do

• Provide emergency repairs, scheduled maintenance, preventive maintenance, modifications, and troubleshooting for production and facility equipment.
• Repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, including furnaces, ovens, high-vacuum equipment, sputter coating machines, class 4 laser drillers, welders, and CNC equipment.
• Read mechanical drawings, electrical and mechanical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, pneumatic circuits, equipment manuals, and work orders.
• Perform machining and fabrication using manual lathes, mills, drill presses, metal-forming, and shearing equipment.
• Use SAP Plant Maintenance to manage assignments, projects, labor hours, purchase requisitions, and parts procurement.
• Follow safety procedures, report unsafe conditions, operate tools and material-handling equipment, and maintain a clean work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or higher completed before starting.
• At least five years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of complex high-vacuum systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and drawings.
• Ability to set up and operate mills, lathes, drill presses, and other equipment used for mechanical work and fabrication.
• Valid driver’s license and legal authorization to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.
