Director Business Transformation (P&C Insurance)

Location: Open to anywhere within the USA; the work model prioritizes in-person collaboration while offering flexibility.

Salary: $139,200–$289,000 per year.

What you will do

• Define and execute business and technology transformation strategies across the Property & Casualty insurance value chain.
• Lead modernization programs, including transformation roadmaps, implementation plans, business cases, and value realization frameworks.
• Assess current-state operations, technology landscapes, and target-state architectures to accelerate digital transformation.
• Champion Agentic AI, Generative AI, automation, intelligent workflows, cloud adoption, low-code/no-code platforms, and data modernization.
• Lead cross-functional teams of consultants, architects, technology leaders, and delivery professionals through complex transformation programs.
• Provide executive-level recommendations and monitor industry, regulatory, competitive, and technology trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, insurance, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Typically 15+ years of experience in business transformation, consulting, technology modernization, or digital transformation.
• Significant experience with Property & Casualty insurance operations, products, distribution, claims, underwriting, policy administration, and core insurance systems.
• Experience developing transformation strategies, business cases, operating models, and implementation roadmaps.
• Experience leading large cross-functional teams and complex client engagements from strategy through execution.
• Strong understanding of AI, automation, cloud technologies, digital platforms, and low-code/no-code solutions.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree such as an MBA or MS.
• Experience with Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, or similar core insurance platforms.
• Experience implementing AI, Agentic AI, intelligent automation, or enterprise-scale digital transformation initiatives.
• Certifications in cloud technologies, enterprise architecture, agile methodologies, or insurance disciplines.
