Solution Architect (Fintech)

What you will do

• Define target and transitional architectures for microservices-based systems, including domain boundaries, service contracts, data ownership, and deployment topologies.
• Design and standardize event-driven, CQRS, saga, API gateway, and backend-for-frontend patterns.
• Guide engineering teams on service decomposition, API design, data modeling, cloud-native implementation, and reusable technical standards.
• Lead architecture reviews, threat modeling, design walkthroughs, technical risk management, and remediation planning.
• Partner with platform, DevOps, Security, Compliance, Data, and product teams to align architecture with business outcomes and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate technologies and managed services, conduct proofs of concept and ROI assessments, and mentor engineers and junior architects.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering or architecture, including 4+ years designing and delivering microservices at scale.
• Strong knowledge of Domain-Driven Design, bounded contexts, service granularity, RESTful and gRPC APIs, and event-driven patterns.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP; Docker, Kubernetes, service mesh, ingress, and cloud-native services.
• Knowledge of polyglot persistence, transactional boundaries, eventual consistency, streaming, resilience patterns, and scalability engineering.
• Experience with observability, CI/CD, DevSecOps, GitOps, infrastructure as code, security scanning, and secrets management.
• Experience leading complex programs from architecture through production, including migration from monoliths to microservices, plus strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in regulated or high-availability domains such as payments, fintech, healthcare, or e-commerce.
• Knowledge of zero-downtime deployments, blue/green and canary releases, feature flags, progressive delivery, and API management platforms.
• Security expertise covering OAuth2/OIDC, mTLS, tokenization, secrets rotation, and threat modeling.
• Experience with large-scale event streaming, multi-region active-active architectures, and disaster recovery.
