Node.js Engineer (IoT)

Location: Hybrid work model with office locations in Kraków, Poland or Lisburn, UK

What you will do

• Develop and maintain embedded Linux applications using Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, and React.
• Design and implement features and REST APIs within established system architecture.
• Debug and troubleshoot software issues in Linux-based embedded systems.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, unit and integration tests, and system testing.
• Collaborate with engineering, QA, and DevOps teams, participate in code reviews, and contribute to technical decisions.
• Estimate work, communicate progress, and identify technical risks early.

Requirements

• Commercial experience developing applications with Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Experience building or consuming REST APIs and working with modern web applications.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in a Linux environment.
• Working knowledge of Ethernet, serial, and TLS/SSL protocols.
• Experience with source control and collaborative software development practices.
• Fluent English in written and verbal communication.

Nice to have

• Experience with React, Docker, GitLab CI/CD, or comparable automation platforms.
• Experience with Linux system configuration, IoT projects, or hardware-software integration.
• Familiarity with Agile methods and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Experience with Rust.
