Senior Backend Engineer, Core DevOps: Container Registry

What you will do

• Design, implement, and ship moderate to complex backend features for a high-scale global platform.
• Choose appropriate architectures across modular monoliths, shared components, and independently operated services.
• Define and improve standards for backend style, maintainability, testing, APIs, security, availability, and operational readiness.
• Diagnose and prevent performance and reliability issues, participate in incident response, and take technical ownership.
• Mentor associate and intermediate engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, and design reviews.
• Integrate and evaluate agentic AI in production engineering workflows and promote responsible use.

Requirements

• Strong backend expertise covering architecture, APIs, data systems, and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in modern backend languages and a deep understanding of systems programming.
• Experience designing or evolving modular backend boundaries, bounded contexts, and migration-safe architectures.
• Ability to lead through technical influence, sound judgment, and clear written communication in an asynchronous environment.
• Proven experience building or operating agentic systems in production, including loops, tool use, and error-handling strategies.
