Environmental Project Manager

Location: Akron, Ohio, United States

Salary: $100,000 per year, with final compensation based on qualifications, experience, and certifications.

What you will do

• Manage environmental projects from scoping through completion, maintaining quality, schedule, and budget performance.
• Lead and perform Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
• Direct soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, soil vapor, and stormwater sampling.
• Prepare technical reports, permits, and regulatory approvals.
• Serve as a key client contact, mentor junior staff, and oversee project activities.
• Support business development and proposal efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of environmental consulting experience and 2+ years of project management experience.
• Experience with Phase II ESAs, environmental sampling, and compliance-driven projects.
• Knowledge of Ohio VAP, BUSTR, RCRA, CERCLA, and TSCA frameworks.
• Knowledge of oil and gas industry standards, civil engineering construction projects, and regulatory coordination.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with orphan wells.
• Regulatory experience with Ohio EPA and ODNR.
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
