Graduate Fire Engineer 2027 Start - Edinburgh

What you will do

• Carry out fire engineering analysis for new and existing building projects.
• Work on high-rise offices, large retail complexes, airport developments, and other complex buildings.
• Analyse fire growth, means of escape, structural fire resistance, and smoke control.
• Use computer modelling methods, including Computational Fluid Dynamics.
• Prepare technical reports and liaise with major building developers and other clients.
• Work within a design team alongside experienced fire engineers and contribute to safe, energy-efficient, and sustainable buildings.

Requirements

• Right to work in the UK or Ireland.
• Master’s degree achieved within the last two years or expected in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, or Physics.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
• Enthusiasm for innovation and a commitment to pursuing a career in fire engineering.

Nice to have

• A second European language.
• Additional relevant qualifications and experience.
